Serious wine here.  Structure, balance, finesse.  It has intention to be the best; reminiscent of a Van Gogh that pulls you in so close you are intrigued at each brush stroke, each splash of color, this Cabernet Sauvignon will have your senses fully engaged as you discover its layers of blackberry, blueberry, fig and cocoa intertwined in leather, cedar and peat.  Each interaction as it’s firm but gentle tannins roll over your palate will delight your senses. A little extra:

As you know, I only craft a few hundred cases of wine each year and because of this, I pick a few of my favorite grapes each year and rotate as I go.  The first year I ever made wine, I made Cabernet (and Syrah).  It was a very sad moment when it sold out.  Thing is, it sold out just as a new vintage went into barrel.  I've been eagerly awaiting the release of this beauty because I am so proud of it.  I believe it rivals some of the best Cabernets in the world.  The clones i’ve selected bear a beautiful balance and the impeccable work of the growers as well the vineyard site, have lent this wine a bit more of a fruit forward quality than that first vintage.  This one is going to be a long-time favorite.
